Latest News at our Clapham Common Leagues
In2Touch had an epic 4-week Early Spring League that ran from 28th of March until the 20th of April (on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays). This league consisted of a mixture of loyal teams that have been with us for years (using the season as practice for the longer Spring season) and brand new teams to take the in2touch pitch!
Early Spring Results
Tuesday MixedÂ
Tune Squad took the title with a convincing 7-3 against Lack of Gear, Some Idea on finals night.
Surrey 2 Wannabes narrowly came in 3rd, above our very own In2Touch Individuals team due to try difference! We are always love seeing an individuals team come together as they are mostly strangers that come together to play the sport and finish the season off being friends!
Wednesday Mixed
With 10 teams registered for this early spring show down – it was bound to be a goodie! We had 2 divisions which allowed teams to compete against players of similar skill levels. As we are social leagues, we always try to ensure this is the case.
3 points ahead of Triple Threat, True Vintage Turtles took the title after a hugely exciting 8-7 final. Both teams are registered win our Spring league and we looking forward to seeing how they go in this 8-week league.
The final for division B was just as close with A Touch Drunk coming through with a narrow 4-3 win against Bench Warmers.
We had another Individuals team take the stage coming in 3rd and we hope some of the players have stuck around for some spring/summer touch!
Thursday Mixed
A new team to our In2Touch family took a convincing W in this mixed league. Evil Mixed were undefeated across the 4 weeks and we look forward to seeing if they can keep this run up in the Spring league!
8-week Spring LeaguesÂ
These leagues started last week with the first games being played on Monday the 24th. We have both mens and mixed leagues running Monday-Thursday and Saturdays during the Spring season and its shaping up to be an exciting season with 84 teams playing across those 4 nights and Saturdays.
That’s… roughly 756 players getting moving, socialising with friends and playing in the wonderful sport that is touch rugby!!
We can’t wait to see how this season progresses.
Summer season starts end of June – with Clapham being one of our most popular venues, please register sooner rather than later to avoid missing out a spot!
