Terms and Conditions
Here you can read all the In 2 Touch Terms and Conditions
Start Times: Please see relevant Venue/ Club for details. The Venue Manager from time to time may alter game times due to light conditions or other circumstances.
Games – You will normally play 1x 40 or 1 x 30 minute games each evening (Time slots can rotate on a weekly basis). Games will normally be 2 halves with a straight turn-around. (Please consult your venue for more specific information in this regard). Game times depend on the venue and the season, and it will be announced in the details of the League when you are signing up a Team or Individual.
Prior to game start: Your team must register with the venue manager 5 minutes prior to your first game. Teams that have not registered or contacted the venue manager or appointed official, 5 minutes prior to the start of their first game for the evening(s), may be scratched from their game and substituted with another team. The team that is present for the round will record a 5 – 0 win (4 points), the scratched team will record a forfeit (0 points). Should your team not be able to make an evening’s scheduled game for whatever reason you will unfortunately forfeit that game, which will not be replayed. Players must be gathered on the halfway line of the field 5 minutes before the scheduled start time of the game, ready to take the field as instructed by the attending referee.
Starting of games: Games will be started on time, with the winner of a coin-toss/ whistle-in-hand being able to decide which direction to play and to have possession of the ball.
Scoring and game points: A touchdown will be scored by a player grounding the ball on or over the opposite team’s score line. Touchdowns: male = 1 pt, female = 1 pt. Win = 4 pts, draw = 2 pts, loss = 1 pt, bye = 1 pt, forfeit = 0 pts.
Finals day: Depending on the Venue, Finals day will be either on the normal evening that you play, another weekday, or on a weekend. This information will be confirmed by the 6th week of the relevant league.
Team Lists: You are required to submit a Team List prior to playing your first game by inputting all of your team members’ names, e-mail addresses and a contact number, preferably a mobile number into the In 2 Touch Sports Management System (Spawtz). It is the Captain’s responsibility to ensure that only members on the Team List who have accepted the relevant terms and conditions take the field of play for official games. The Venue Manager reserves the right to make checks on any/all Team Lists.
Team members: On field teams consist of 6 players (teams consist of minimum 6 players, maximum 14 players). Teams can consist of up to 14 players (no more than 14 players down on any one night). Team members must have played at least (3) three league games to qualify for a semi or final match.
Ringers: If a team does not have sufficient players (6) to commence a game, they may call on up to 3 ringers to play in a match. Save that the total number of players in that team may not be more than 6 and there need to be at least 3 of the actual team playing in the match.
Should a particular team’s players arrive late and then be able to take the field, the number of ringers that cause the teams number to exceed 6 players will be required to cease playing immediately.
Mixed teams must have at least 2 women and/or non binary players on the field at all times. Women and/or non-binary players can play in the men’s leagues. Stacking of teams will not be tolerated; the Tournament Director/ Official’s decision on any disputes will be final.
Team Registration Fees: A team’s place is not guaranteed unless the deposit or full amount is paid. If you withdraw prior to the season starting you will forfeit any monies paid up to that point. If you or your team plays in at least one game (including any grading game), you and your team’s players will forfeit any monies paid and be held jointly and severally liable for the full league registration fee including, but not limited to, any and all damages and costs incurred by In 2 Touch caused by you or your teams withdrawal.
The full registration fee for a team entry is due 1 week before the relevant leagues start date. If any monies remain owing 7 days after the relevant league start date, an administration fee of £50 will be added to your team fees. For each additional 7 day period that the fees remain unpaid an additional fee of £30 per week will be charged, until the full outstanding amount is paid.
Participant Behaviour: Foul play and abuse of In 2 Touch officials will not be tolerated under any circumstances. It is incumbent on all team members to observe the rules of the competition and not indulge in any behaviour that would be unruly or unsportsmanlike in nature. In 2 Touch management and referees reserve the right to eject anyone from the competition should they be seen to be indulging in such behaviour with no right of recourse or reimbursement of any monies paid.
Due to unfortunate continued issues with some teams, we are now implementing a card system in an attempt to address misconduct towards players and In2Touch officials at our leagues.
Misconduct includes, but is not limited to: excessive or aggressive contact at the point of touch, verbal abuse, foul play or any other conduct the referee deems as misconduct. This decision is at the sole discretion of the referee.
Yellow card: The referee will send the offending player off for a period of at least 2 minutes. The player may come back onto the field of play at the referee’s discretion and after at least 2 minutes and only if they have calmed down (i.e. they are not aggressive or passing comments from the sideline). The Yellow Card sanction thereafter applies to the whole team.
Red card: Upon further misconduct by anyone in the team, the referee has the right to red card a player from that team. The team loses that player for the rest of the game and the player needs to leave the grounds.
Playing kit: All teams entering into the In2Touch Leagues can purchase playing kit from EV2 at specially negotiated discount prices. We are also more than happy for you to bring your own playing shirts as long as your team wears identical shirts, which are individually NUMBERED on the back and they are not from a non- In 2 Touch touch rugby or tag rugby competition.
If after 2 warnings you fail to wear the correct players kit, at the discretion of the Venue Manager/ Official, your team may forfeit competition points or be excluded from the competition (without refund of fees).
Jewellery and Fingernails: Players are not to participate in any match while wearing any item of jewellery, which might prove dangerous. Long or sharp fingernails are to be trimmed or taped.
Footwear: Shoes with screw-in studs or cleats are not to be worn by any player. Light leather or synthetic boots with soft moulded soles are permitted, provided individual studs are no longer than thirteen millimetres (13 mm) in length, the measurement being taken from the sole of the boot. If you have any doubt please contact Hayden on email@example.com or on 020 8542 0827.
Protests: Should a team wish to protest regarding an opposing team and its members, it should do so by bringing the protest to the attention of the referee prior to the first whistle to commence the game being sounded. The referee will inform the offending Team and if the Protest is not resolved will mark ‘Protest’ on the scorecard – (Team Captain to ensure this is carried out). The Team Captain is then to inform the Official at the end of the evening. The Official will bring the matter to In 2 Touch management’s attention who will inform the offending and offended team of the decision after consulting with the attending referee and reviewing the necessary rules & policies.
Results dispute: If there are any disputes with the results, team captains or the nominated representative for the team are to query the result by emailing the relevant venue manager within a week of the disputed game being played. In 2 Touch management will check the Game Score Cards, review your dispute with the attending referee and inform you of his/her final decision the following week.
Bad weather: In 2 Touch management, after consulting with the grounds person and checking the weather forecast, will make a decision at 5:00pm on the day concerned and update the relevant website venue page at this time. Only if the decision is taken to cancel or postpone a game, an email will be sent out to all team captains and players registered on the In 2 Touch Sports Management System informing them of this decision. It is incumbent on all players and captains in these teams to inform their fellow players of this decision. In the event that games are called off due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances, these games may be rescheduled or cancelled depending on the availability of both time and grounds. This will be at the sole discretion and decision of In 2 Touch Management and no refunds will be offered in the event of any cancellation or rescheduling.
First Aid: Initial First Aid for minor injuries will be administered at the venue. Any injuries that require specialist services including ambulances or the attendance of medical staff will be carried out at the cost to the individual concerned. Individual treatment including, but not limited to, blisters or provision of strapping tape is up to the Individuals. The Referees and Venue Managers capabilities are restricted to offering the medical aid bag if required. Not administration thereof.
